WHILE YOU "SLEEP"

The video monitor we bought is definitely worth the money.  I love watching you while you sleep.  In this video, you have figured out how to stand up in your newly lowered crib and you can barely see over.  You look so PROUD when you stand up and look over for the first time!!

When you look right at the camera, it seems like you actually know we are watching :)

AVOCADO

I cut up some avocado in small pieces to see if you would eat it.  You loved it.  In fact, you liked it more then the puree avocado.  You do a really good job mashing it up with your 6 teeth!!

SWIM CLASS WITH DADDY!

I couldn't swim today, so I took some pics of you and Dad.  As usual, you two had a great time and you are really starting to like being in the water.

 You loved this dinosaur so much that it accidentally made it home with us :-/  I was getting your swimsuits out of the washer and there it was lying at the bottom of the washer.  Daddy forgot he had put it in his pocket...we'll be bringing that back on Monday!!

YOUR NEW TOY

Henry.  You are crawling.  You will be 8 months in one week and ever since you have started moving, you haven't stopped.  This is your go-to toy upstairs.  

DOWN TIME

You had Daddy had a little down time today and had the chance to cuddle.  Our cuddling days with you are becoming few and far between, because you want to crawl everywhere and be on the move.  So we really take advantage of it when you give us this time!

 I swear...you two were happy during this time.  Apparently, I just didn't do a good job capturing that.

SWEETEST SOUND EVER

You have had a big month so far, Henry, for being 7 1/2 months old!!  You have started waving, crawling (backward and forward), you sit and stand up in your crib, it's a growing month for you.  Tonight, however, was something pretty amazing.  We were just finishing up your dinner and as your daddy walked into the room from the kitchen,  you said (as clear as can be), "Da-Da"!!  We both stopped in our tracks and looked at you in pure amazement.  We were shocked, thrilled, and our hearts were melting by what we had heard.  Besides your laugh, your voice is the sweetest sound ever.  Now I'm sure you didn't actually know what you were saying, but the timing of it was perfect when your dad walked into the room.  :)  Of course, we wanted to hear more, so we asked you to say "Da-Da" over and over and over again....here is a little snip-it of you talking, but we didn't get a clear "Da-Da' once we started taping you :)  I love you, LB and although I don't want to make this time go any faster, I love hearing your voice and can't wait to hear more....specifically Ma-Ma :) !!

I finally decided which wall I wanted your H on.  Your Uncle Nat made this for you, Henry.  And it looks awesome in your room...especially with your Nana quilt right under it.  Thank you, Nat!

LITTLE HELPER

Daddy and I were hanging our family pictures today and you helped us.  You stood here for a long time and watched us so patiently.  We think you are going to be a great little helper when you can actually walk around.  

BIG BOY CUP

You won't drink water out of your own sippy cup, but you will out of mommy's cup...

I've been told I should get used to this, you taking my food/drink/etc.  I will work on it.  If you ask your Joey and Uncle Dean, I've always had a really hard time sharing my food/drink.  I'm sure it will be different with you :)

WE LOVE LEO!

Max let you borrow Leo the Lion.  You love to ride on it and hit his nose so it will blink and talk to you.  I push you throughout the living room and all you do is smile and giggle.  I wonder when you'll be able to push Leo?

ONE OF MY FAVORITE VIEWS

I LOVE the small of your back.  You have always been so good on the changing table and you still are.  However, recently you have been turning over-and-over again while we change you and/or get you dressed.  I just love seeing your naked back with those little rolls on the side...I don't want to ever forget it!

UH-OH!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!  As I was putting away your clothes tonight, I set you in your crib.  No sooner did I do that, I turn around and I see this...acting like you have been doing this for years!!

 I LOVE this robe on you...can't wait to see you walking around in it!!  It's one of your favorite things!

A PULL AND A CRAWL

Daddy figured out a way to get you to move across the floor and practice your crawling.  You love our phones, so that was what we used to get you to move.  You are so close to getting it, Henry.  You get help from the carpet by pulling on it, sometimes you get frustrated and go in to this sky-diving position, and you even face plant other times.  I give you an A for effort, Buddy.  You don't give up!  I hope you have this same determination in everything you do!!

FIRST SWIMMING LESSON

Tonight was your very first swim lesson, Henry.  We have classes for the next 6 weeks, they are only 30 minutes long, and we are taking them at the downtown Y.  We realize you won't actually be able to swim (you may surprise us), but we really just want you to get used to the water and it's never too early to start!  

LET'S DO THIS, MOM!!!

 You were a bit overwhelmed with all of the new sounds and sights going on in that pool area!!
