BLUEBERRY PICKING

Your dad and I wanted to get outside while the weather was not too humid to pick some blueberries.  You slept the entire time.  Which gave us the opportunity to pick 15 pounds of berries!  Looking forward to doing this with you next year!!

BEST SOUNDS EVER!

You are starting to talk and coo like crazy right now!  Daddy and I love hearing it and we will do anything to try and get you to talk.  This video shows some of the cooing, but a lot of dead air time... we just keep the video rolling to hopefully catch whatever we can :)

ANTEATER'S & SNACK TIME

Daddy and I went on a little shopping trip for you today.  We needed to get you some pj's in the next size.  These are our favorites.  

And of course the anteaters....love them!

You were pretty comfortable in it and snuggled all day!

TRYING THE ROLL...AGAIN

You have already rolled over once on your own, but your dad and I tried to get you to do it again....

NO MORE NET

You are such a big boy that you no longer need the net in your tub.  We keep it there so you can rest your head back, but you seem to enjoy the extra leg room :)

 This face makes me laugh, Henry!  So do the many rolls that are starting to appear on your body.

You got yourself pretty good last night!!  

NOT FEELING IT!

Your first time getting sick :(  You are so congested and we can just see it in your eyes that you are not feeling good...hoping it does not last long!!!  

The one "good" thing about being sick is you are extra cuddly :)

WORKOUT BUDDY

You, daddy, and I just got back from a morning jog.  You laid there while I finished what I needed to do, which then turned in to an impromptu photo session.  Daddy got some AWESOME shots of just you...

FUTURE FISHING BUDDIES

You were finally able to meet your Uncle Dean.  He was laughing so hard because you were sucking on his finger, you were a hungry boy!  This guy is looking forward to taking you fishing when you are a little older.  Hopefully some day, you and your dad can head out to Idaho to fish there!  I'm thinking no one would say no to a trip like that!

(Not sure what is going on with Dean's hair here :)) 

ANSWERED PRAYER

Henry, once I found out I was pregnant, it was my prayer that your Great Nana was going to be here to meet you...and she was.  In fact, she was able to hold you and love on you two times.  Today, she went to Heaven.  I will always wish that you were a little older so that you could know her like I knew her.  She was the LIGHT in our lives.  She filled everyone's heart with such joy and love.  She was the glue that held our family together and now we feel the hole.  

We are at peace knowing that she is in Heaven.  Selfishly, I want her back so you can meet her once you are a little older.  God still answered my prayers though.  Nana prayed for you every day while I was pregnant.  She was so excited to meet you.  She cried the first time I brought you to meet her and then bragged about you to all of her friends at the nursing home.  She loved you the few weeks she knew you, Henry.  I am SO grateful to God for allowing me to see her hold you, it is something I will NEVER forget.  It is one of my favorite memories of your first few weeks.

1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Your daddy and I went out on our first date since you were born.  It just so happened to be our 1st year anniversary.  You were already 5 weeks old at this point.  It was hard to leave you, but it was great to get out and celebrate our marriage.  We ended up going to Grand Haven and doing the same exact thing we did the night your dad proposed.  Went to The Grand and had sushi and then walked down to the end of the pier and ate the top of our wedding cake that we had frozen for this very occasion.  It was a very special time.  Do you want to know what we talked about the entire night?  We talked about..YOU!!!  Henry, you are the best thing that has happened to us and we love you so much!

 The 1st year anniversary "gift" is supposed to be paper.  Your dad MADE me origami paper flowers.  It was the sweetest thing.  He also put together a calendar for me.  It was a very special gift, one that I will never forget.

We couldn't finish the cake, but I think we did pretty good.  It was a great night, but you were missed little buddy.

PHOTO SESSION

We wanted to get some pictures of Nana with all of her grand babies.  You, Abbie, and Nora were all dressed up in the good old red, white, and blue.  Everyone looked pretty darn adorable.

 You slept through the majority of the pictures.
