DRINKING IT UP

Daddy and I gave you your first bottle today.  After a month of strictly nursing, we gave it a try and you drank it down like a champ.  I've come to realize you never turn down food :)

4 WEEKS!!!

Our little boy is 4 weeks today!!  Can't believe it.  You make our hearts smile, best four weeks ever :)

DADDY TIME

You and Daddy just hanging out.  He loves when you wear MSU gear.  I'm guessing you will have a whole wardrobe of green and white as you get older!

HUNGRY FACE

You make this hilarious face when you are hungry.  You pucker your lips out in to a little O, one of my favorite faces.

I never want you to stop making this face...those lips are PERFECT!!!

MAKING NANA LAUGH

You enjoy making your Nana laugh! She couldn't get enough of you and your faces.  You had her going for a good 10 minutes and then you were out...again :)

YOUR GREAT NANA

Today we were able to go and visit your Great Nana for the first time.  Can you believe she is 99 years old?  Since she lives in a nursing home we had to wait until the weather was nicer so we could sit in the pavilion outside to visit.  You and I went out to the pavilion while your Nana went in to get Great Nana.  She closed her eyes because Nana told her she had a surprise for her.  Once she opened them, there you were and she cried when she saw you.  Great Nana was so happy to finally meet you.  She hugged you and held you the entire time we were there.  Great Nana told me over and over again how much she prayed for you, and I believe it.  We stayed there for a good three hours and Great Nana did not want us to leave, but we'll be back!!

 You did not let go of Great Nana's finger the entire time we were there.  It was precious and she loved it.  She kept holding up her hand for us to see your grip.

3 WEEKS

Dad and I are going to take a picture of you every week in the same chair to see how quickly you grow.  This is the first one...already 3 weeks!!!

I'M LIKING IT, MOM!

You tried out your vibrating seat today for the first time.  You were a little hesitant at first, but now it is your FAVORITE chair!!

SOUND ASLEEP

I love checking in on you when you are sleeping at night.  I thought you looked especially cute tonight!

AND SO IT BEGINS...MSU GEAR

Your Uncle Ben and Aunt Becky bought you some MSU gear.  You seem somewhat excited to be wearing it.  I'm still going to push for U of M :)

2-WEEK APPOINTMENT

We have yet to meet your actual doctor, Dr. Mike, but we have met some really great doctors while they fill in for him.  You have done a great job with your eating and growing.  I swear, you look bigger to me every morning.  Here are your two-week appointment stats:

OUR FIRST DAY TRIP!

You were almost two weeks old when we took our first day trip.  We went to Silver Lake where your Grandma and Grandpa had a cabin for the week.  Your Uncle Ben and Aunt Becky, Aubrey, Blake, Aunt Lenore, Jeff, Brenda, Lauren and Taylor were all there as well.  You did great, you literally slept the entire time we were there!  It was a fun day and it was great to get out. 

 

BIG BOY BATH

This was your FIRST big boy bath!  Your cord fell off exactly 10 days after you were born, so we were able to bath you in your bath tub.  At first you cried, but after a couple of minutes you settled down and LOVED it!  You still love your baths...they are now part of our night time routine.

TRYING MY HARDEST

Trying to sit up all by yourself.  Close, but not there yet.  

MOM! I CAN'T SEE!!

We tried out your crib for the first time in the den today.  I had you sound asleep when I set you down.  I went to do some laundry and as I was coming upstairs I heard you crying.  This is what I found.  You were not a happy camper (but I still had to capture your look).

LIKE MOTHER, LIKE SON

I sleep just like this!  Arms above my head on my back...you sleep like this so often I had to capture a picture of it.

SWING AWAY

Here you are in your favorite swing.  Jojo let us borrow it for you and you loved it!  You would take some of your naps in the swing. (I just have to say, you look SO young here!  I can't believe how fast the time goes. I love you, Bubs!)

SWADDLE ME

You love to be swaddled.  When you sleep your arms shoot up in the air and that movement wakes you up.  We swaddled you until you were 9 weeks old.  I also got a 1/2 smile in this picture.
